I've never written a movie review before, but im bored and this is all i can think about writing.lol
So today me and a friend went to see the Expendables because we were bored as fuck. It has a pretty huge cast of action stars over the last few decades. Here's what its about....
a band of highly skilled mercenaries including knife enthusiast Lee Christmas, martial arts expert Yin Yang, heavy weapons specialist Hale Caesar, demolitionist Toll Road and loose-cannon sniper Gunner Jensen. When the group is commissioned by the mysterious Mr. Church to assassinate the merciless dictator of a small South American island, Barney and Lee head to the remote locale to scout out their opposition. Once there, they meet with local rebel Sandra and discover the true nature of the conflict engulfing the city. When they escape the island and Sandra stays behind, Ross must choose to either walk away and save his own life - or attempt a suicidal rescue mission that might just save his soul.
This movie wasnt that bad at all. It was over the top and full of action, but you never really give a shit about any of mercs.
Pros
-Never takes itself to seriously
-Full of action(even if most of it is...LOLexplosionsLOL)
-Nice to see a bunch of action stars in one movie and it not completely sucking.
Cons
-story could've been a bit better.
-CGI blood everywhere...very distracting at times
-all the cameos (bruce willis, arnold, etc.) are a bit cheesy.
I give it 7/10
